This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that SLIK-PAK LIMITED has taken, and is continuing to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.
SLIK-PAK LIMITED is a small business operating in the supply of Body Bags and Laundry Bags. We are based in the United Kingdom and primarily serve customers in the UK, however we also ship internationally. Our business structure is straightforward, with a small, close-knit team, and our operations are entirely UK-based.
We are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. Although we are a small business and not legally required to publish a statement, we believe it is our ethical duty to ensure our operations uphold human rights and dignity.
We source materials and services from a limited number of trusted suppliers who we have worked with for decades. Our trusted suppliers undergo SMETA audits and are SEDEX registered. They are considered ultra low risk in terms of modern slavery. Nonetheless, we recognise that risk can exist in any supply chain, particularly in lower tiers.
To manage the risk of modern slavery:
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. Our workplace policies promote ethical behaviour and a culture of respect and integrity. Although our size does not necessitate formal training programmes, our team is encouraged to report any concerns about unethical practices, including suspected cases of modern slavery.
As we grow, we will continue to assess our policies and processes to strengthen our efforts against modern slavery. We are committed to ethical practices and transparency in all aspects of our operations.
